Through our “volunteer day with pay” our employees spend a day volunteering at a local non-profit such as local food pantries, Salvation Army, Gleaners Food Bank, Life Remodeled and many other non-profits that help build stronger communities. read more . . . 2016: A Record Year in Review Thanks to continued growth and strong member loyalty, 2016 was another outstanding year for Community Financial. We continued to see a strong increase in membership and again saw high member satisfaction ratings. These factors led to very solid financial results, with all areas of credit union operations performing well in 2016. Net income for the year was $7,624,218 or a 1.04% return on assets. We expect to achieve a positive net income of $7.4 million in 2017 due in part to the benefits of operating in the current interest rate environment and stabilized loan losses. Total assets grew to $766 million in 2016. Member deposits at year-end were $609 million. Total loans increased 10.33% to $710 million. Auto loans grew by more than 15% while commercial loans grew by over 38%. Our members continued to take advantage of lower mortgage rates and we originated over $138 million in first mortgage loans. read more . . .
